This is not a great photograph.
In fact it was taken on my phone at a low res setting.
What’s cool about it is this. Look closely where the rainbow touches down. You might just be able to see a tall stone celtic cross. That cross is erected on St. Colmcille’s birthplace. Colmcille travelled all over Ireland setting up monastaries. He was a good calligrapher and scribe. The monastary he founded in Kells created the famous Book of Kells. Not bad for a Donegal man. There’s your Irish history lesson for the day.
