HQ Trivia is originating quickly to Android

HQ Trivia is permitting Android os people pre-register for the live-streamed trivia game built because of the producers of Vine, Rus Yusupov and Colin Kroll. Pre-registering means you’ll get informed when HQ Trivia can be obtained for download.

HQ, which opened up pre-registration on December 24, had formerly promoted its Android os app as being offered “this Christmas time.” If you ask me, this means it had been said to be available by xmas. But apparently that’s not what HQ Trivia required. Earlier on this thirty days, the startup tweeted it’ll have “a nice little stocking stuffer coming your path” for many on Android os mobile phones. I’ve reached out to HQ and will upgrade this tale if I hear back.

HQ hosts live games each day at 6pm PT and every weekday at 12pm PT. The game is quite easy. It asks you 12 multiple-choice concerns if you get all of them appropriate, you win or split a predetermined sum of money. Just yesterday, HQ increased the minimal award from $1,000 to $2,000.

Intermedia Labs, the organization behind HQ, is reportedly searching to increase between $15 million and $20 million at a post-money valuation up to $100 million. But there is also some reported hesitation from potential investors due to reports of Kroll’s behavior toward females.

Lightspeed Ventures lover Jeremy Liew, who sits on the board of Intermedia Labs, acknowledged reading some concern from people regarding Kroll’s behavior. In a statement to Recode, Liew said some firms weren’t gonna spend considering hearsay of prospective intimate harassment.

“So in my ability as a board user, I conducted an investigation to find out what really occurred. We talked to about a dozen present and previous Twitter execs,” he typed. “The investigation had been exhaustive and included the essential knowledgeable major resources. I Discovered a good deal of negative belief about Colin together with Vine staff plus some disquiet together with his behavior, but I Didn’t find proof that warrants their removal through the company.”
