In Facebook’s newest high–profile deviation, business communications lead Rachel Whetstone will leave for a top PR role at Netflix. Whetstone joined Twitter about this past year after leaving a similar place working communications at Uber during a number of the business’s many fraught times. Before Uber, Whetstone struggled to obtain Bing as the SVP of communications and community policy.
Twitter confirmed Whetstone’s deviation, that was very first reported by Recode. “It’s already been amazing to study on among the best over this a year ago,” FB Comms VP Caryn Marooney said in a statement provided to TechCrunch. “We are grateful for what Rachel has taken to the group therefore we understand she will have continued success at Netflix.”
