The Poison Glen or Gleann Nimhe in gaelic. Nimhe (pro. niv) means poison. Some think that this name was a mistake given to it by the first english speakers to arrive. They mistook gleann neamh for glean nimhe. Gleann Neamh (Neow), means heaven’s glen and is more fitting.
